The 42nd Virginia assisted Fairfax Chapter 1410, United Daughters of the Confederacy, at its annual memorial service honoring the Confederate soldiers from Fairfax Court House who lost their lives during the War Between the States.

Doug Koupash and John Kennedy carry the colours along with Captain Page Johnson and members of the 17th Virginia Infantry Regiment (Fairfax Rifles).
