Gettysburg '97

The first major unit event for the 42nd Virginia this season was "Gettysburg: The Forgotten Battles," which included Ewell's night assault, Buford's last stand and the railroad cut, and the peach orchard.

Staged in the same fields where the movie Gettysburg was filmed, the event was well organized, well attended, and blessed by the gods with spectacular weather.
